Our Factory

For three generations, our family factory in Sussex has continued a tradition of British furniture making. Founded by Sophie’s grandfather and father, the workshop established its early reputation through fine woodworking and the production of chair frames for English homes. Over time, its work expanded to include bespoke cabinetry and upholstery, furnishing private residences as well as commercial interiors in London and all over the world.
At the centre of the factory is a longstanding commitment to British-made furniture, shaped by skilled craftsmen and a close attention to the finest material, proportion and detail.
Today, our factory produces furniture for each client from initial hand sketches through to final completion. Every stage forms part of the studio’s considered process, allowing each piece to develop with precision, individuality and permanence.
Bringing together upholstery, joinery and hand-finished detailing, each design is made in Britain with an emphasis on comfort, longevity and quiet refinement. Pieces begin as hand-drawn studies before moving into the technical discipline of manufacture, where proportion, material, and finish are resolved with care.
